Overview
Eugraphe sigma is a moth of the family Noctuidae. It is found from most of Europe to the Ural, Siberia, Transcaucasia, Armenia and Korea.
Eugraphe sigma faces significant pressure from habitat degradation and fragmentation of its woodland environments, particularly affecting the availability of its host plants including dogwood species. Climate change and agricultural intensification are reducing suitable habitat patches, while light pollution disrupts its nocturnal behavior patterns essential for reproduction and feeding.
Habitat
Inhabits deciduous and mixed woodlands, forest edges, parks, and gardens where dogwood (Cornus) and other host plants are present. Prefers areas with diverse understory vegetation and woodland clearings that support both larval development and adult nectar sources.
