Overview
Coleophora pulmonariella is a moth of the family Coleophoridae. It is found from Sweden and northern Russia to the Pyrenees and Italy, and from France to Romania.
Coleophora pulmonariella, the lungwort case-bearer moth, is critically endangered primarily due to habitat loss and degradation of its specialized woodland environments. The species depends entirely on lungwort (Pulmonaria) plants for larval development, making it extremely vulnerable to changes in forest understory composition and management practices that affect these host plants.
