Poecilimon pechevi

Poecilimon pechevi is a critically endangered species of bush cricket endemic to Bulgaria. This orthopteran insect belongs to the family Tettigoniidae and represents one of the most threatened invertebrate species in southeastern Europe. The species was first described relatively recently and is known from extremely limited localities within Bulgarian territory.

Like other members of the Poecilimon genus, P. pechevi is characterized by its distinctive morphological features and acoustic properties used for mate recognition and territorial communication.
