Habitat
This endemic species inhabits the Atlantic Forest (Mata Atlântica) of southeastern Brazil, typically found in humid lowland and montane forests. It grows in the understory and canopy of primary and well-preserved secondary forests, preferring areas with high humidity and rich, well-drained soils.
